About Champion Petfoods

Acana and Orijen are both made by Champion Petfoods, a family-owned company founded in Alberta, Canada. Their "Biologically Appropriate" philosophy puts meat first — high protein, low carbohydrate recipes modeled on what dogs and cats evolved to eat.

Acana

Acana recipes are packed with fresh, regional ingredients — named meats, fish, and poultry sourced from trusted farmers and fishers. Acana offers a wide range of formulas for puppies, adults, senior dogs, and cats, including grain-free and limited-ingredient options.

Orijen

Orijen is Champion's premium line — 85–90% meat, organs, and bone, with no added water. Whole-animal nutrition in every bag, made with cage-free poultry, free-run eggs, wild-caught fish, and nest-laid eggs from trusted farms.
