Pet Travel Tips
Each airline has specific regulations for traveling with pets. Double check the airline website and make
sure to choose a carrier that fits their restrictions. See table below for the latest carrier restrictions.
The proper size carrier should allow your pet to lie down comfortably, stand up and turn around.
Traveling on an airplane can be stressful for your pet. Make sure to allow yourself enough time at the
airport so you are not rushed to your gate. Do not give your pet any medications without discussing with
your vet first. You should also check with your vet before traveling to make sure you are up to date with
all necessary vaccinations and your pet is in good health.
Keep a travel water dish and puppy pads on hand for any long layovers or delays in the airport.
Don’t forget to carry a leash so your pet can take a walk and stretch their legs at your final destination!
