Furry fugitive at home? We’ve got gentle solutions for Fido’s training and behavior needs. The gentle leader is one great option. Put the Gentle Leader on when you are at home. Put it on right before you feed him or before you play with him. This will allow him to get used to associate the new sensation with good things. After a few days, you should be able to take him on a walk with the Gentle Leader. If he tries to struggle when it is on, do not take it off. This will only teach him that if he fights the Gentle Leader, you will get rid of it for him. Instead, try to distract him by asking him to sit or increasing the pace of your walk.
